Gathered Pieces
During my student years I was interested in deconstructing historical design methods and applying them to simpler, more modern garments. In this capsule I took a traditional gathering method usually used in women’s garments and applied them to a silk jersey t-shirt, sleeveless tee, and a pair of linen trousers.
Square Cutting
My other interest during my time as a student was simplifying the shapes of garments and focusing on material. I wanted to investigate the way garments would look hanging on a wall, hanging flat, as well as on a body.
